Urban Legacy Lands Initiative is focused in and around Indianapolis’ Historic Indiana Avenue.

ULLI is inspired by the resilience and creativity of Black communities and will continue working tirelessly to ensure that this heritage is celebrated, respected, and preserved for generations to come.

Through collaborative community engagement, scholarly investigation, and heritage-based planning, design, and capacity building, we can make a lasting impact in honoring the legacy of Black communities in Indianapolis and beyond.
